Playphone is a deeply specialized company which gives other developers' games a second chance by adding a social plug in. This way, this Assaulter and Metal Slugs is a version of CWA's Assaulter (reviewed by Mr. Lund here) with the addition of a social plug in to share your achievements and so on.
Therefore, if you were playing the original game but were missing social features, or if you haven't ever played it but it doesn't matter whether to download this or that, here's Assaulter. Game is the same chaotic and confusing side scroller game, where instead of tackling the nearly impossible mission of dodging the incoming attacks it's far better you save money to upgrade your body armor; where your character shoots at his whim and you are never sure if you have been hit in hand to hand combat or you have stabbed your foe first.
We ought to continue dreaming on a day where social sharing means playing co-op with a friend at the other shore of the pond.
