Official mobile game from Die Hard 5
Ok, ok, ok. Let's imagine just for a moment, that you are a fan of Die Hard series since McClane blew off the upper floors of Nakatomi building, and I'm talking back to the Late Beta-zoic, or perhaps the Early VHS-cene. Call me old-fashioned, but I was pretty disappointed with third and fourth films, and even when I believe that this fifth part doesn't do any justice to the pentalogy and I'm afraid that they (in italics) are trying to force a generational change-over as they did with Indiana and who knows who will be next, it isn't as bad at all.
Yes, I know we here don't write reviews on films, but I'm sure that you'll understand that what I mean with the film is in a way the same I mean with the game. It isn't as bad, at least while you keep in mind that it's a grotesque mix between Temple Run and 80s handhelds in which your character moved horizontally at the bottom of the screen while stuff scrolled down in a sad attempt to give the feeling that our LCD hero was running upwards. By the way, as we are in 2013, you can tap on enemies to shoot at them before they shoot you down. Yippeekiyay.
Jut to put it clear, game's free, so it's up to you what to do with your data usage and time. It isn't a bad game at all, and it can be pretty entertaining (albeit discouraging, because it's pretty difficult). However, it's a shame that it's the next, in a neverending list, game which takes advantage of the franchise it represents. Why wouldn't they remake 96's Die Hard Arcade Game?
