Doodle Jump is one of the most entertaining Android platformers
The premise is quite simple: a doodle alien wants to reach his planet, but it is far away up there, in the space. To get there, he will have to jump through platforms avoiding on his way monsters, fake platforms and other handicaps. This could seem too simple, even boring. What makes it insanely addictive, from our point of view, is the tilt controls: the doodle is constantly jumping, you have to move your device to left or right to steer him from one platform to the next.
Beside handicaps, you will find on your way also tools that will boost your jump. Depending on the theme you choose (there are up to 5), you will find different enemies and boosting tools.
What's more, you can play single player or challenge you friends (up to 8) to play against you (not online, but on your device). You can also share your score on online leaderboard or check stats.
Doodle Jump is simple regarding graphics and physics, however, it deserves five stars because is one of the Top timekillers we've reviewed so far. The only catch is that there's no a Lite version. Highly addictive.
- Updated scoring system to support Score Loop.
- Fixed crash bug.
The last update fixed bugs mentioned. Just wish they would bring updates as fast as they do on iOS. HTC One S
Great game otherwise
It finally works on my One X, 4 month old phone. Terrible support for this phone by a lot of devs. Getting Galaxy S III so hopefully that will solve that issue. Thanks guys, this game looks good on my screen now.
