Ported version of the classic beat'em-up

Once upon a time, there was not only a Double Dragon arcade machine, but also multiple sequels, both official and bootleg and even a film starred by Mark da Cascos. Double Dragon also inspired a new era in scrolling fighting games and some scenes, as the end of the first stage battle against a clone of B.A.Baracus or the end of the game, when you fight against that machine gun dude, have deeply sunk into gamers' collective consciousness.

Since it was obvious that such a goldmine as DDragon would land on Android sooner than later, the question was if it was a crude port or if it will add something or improve anything. Fortunately, the correct answer is the former, though it's nothing to write home about.

This game updates graphics, animations and sounds from the original game, making it more similar to some console ports. There are also some dialogues and a kinky intro. Moves seem a little bit more varied than the original game, though I'm not sure at all (where did the elbow smashes go?). Likewise, I might say that this version is shorter than the arcade's.

The best part is the vile amount of additional characters. There are around twenty, every one with an odder background than the former. Anyway, here's Double Dragon for Android. It may be alike Double Dragon for Game Boy Advance. It's fun, it's retro and it can bring you back to Big Trouble in Little China times.

I see I'm not the only one with this problem. Please fix sound issue on nexus 7. Also...playing it on the Note 2 made it to stage 6, game froze up and restarted, lost progress. Its a shame because im an old school gamer and love the double dragon franchis

Confusing and tedious user interface combined with the process of getting through a tonne of settings which can easily take a few minutes to figure out. A real waste of time I kid you not

Hi, can you please fix the lack of sound on the nexus system, works fine on my SG3, but missing the atmosphere it brings to the overall experience, great game though

Ruined by intrusive gee-gee login features. I paid for this just let me play it ffs. The login should be an option not mandatory.

Awesome! Used to play the arcade one when I was a kid and this is a fantastic remake! If I could only see an android version of shinobi...
