Ported version of the classic beat'em-up

Once upon a time, there was not only a Double Dragon arcade machine, but also multiple sequels, both official and bootleg and even a film starred by Mark da Cascos. Double Dragon also inspired a new era in scrolling fighting games and some scenes, as the end of the first stage battle against a clone of B.A.Baracus or the end of the game, when you fight against that machine gun dude, have deeply sunk into gamers' collective consciousness.

Since it was obvious that such a goldmine as DDragon would land on Android sooner than later, the question was if it was a crude port or if it will add something or improve anything. Fortunately, the correct answer is the former, though it's nothing to write home about.

This game updates graphics, animations and sounds from the original game, making it more similar to some console ports. There are also some dialogues and a kinky intro. Moves seem a little bit more varied than the original game, though I'm not sure at all (where did the elbow smashes go?). Likewise, I might say that this version is shorter than the arcade's.

The best part is the vile amount of additional characters. There are around twenty, every one with an odder background than the former. Anyway, here's Double Dragon for Android. It may be alike Double Dragon for Game Boy Advance. It's fun, it's retro and it can bring you back to Big Trouble in Little China times.

Its an ok game, I would even give it a 5 star if they changed the moga pro controller crouch button to anything but select. Also I felt that it was far to short with no 2 player capability

The control is great, everything looks like a good SNES game using Sega Genesis speed. Really well done. Feels very authentically old school but feels new and fresh at the same time. Great game, lots of replay value for being a beat 'em up.

Can't tell you how much fun I've had with the game so far, great art style and the storyline is classic early 90s, which is clear and cliche perfect for the title. I've always had one complaint about double dragon and that seems to have come through quite
