Heroes of Loot is a dungeon-crawler set in retro graphics
OrangePixel is one of the most prolific mobile developers. Actually, you should take a look at his profileand check his other titles. You'll rapidly notice that he's focused on classic game genres (mostly platformers) set in pixelated retro graphics.
Heroes of Loot is his first dungeon-crawler. However, it is an atypical one. Some unavoidable elements of the genre are still there: isometric view, different jobs or classes (elf, warrior, wizard, valkyrie) with unique distribution of strength, magic and XP, keys and locked doors, weaponry and spells stores, hidden items, dungeon monsters... and much more. However, OrangePixel has focused here on the roguelike parts while dropping deep storyline and complex upgrading systems. This way, the developer has kept the action and frantic pace of its previous titles.
In consequence, Heroes of Loot can be enjoyed equally for both casual gamers and fans of the RPG/dungeon-crawling genre. Unless any of them is against pixels, of course.
