Go back in time with this able original Nintendo game simulator.
Who doesn't like taking a trip back in time with old Nintendo games? Despite some drawbacks, John NES Emulator manages to do its job reasonably well. Taking a step into the time machine will at the minimum make downloading the game worth the price of admission.
John NES Simulator provides a healthy dose of nostalgia; it's not hard to occasionally pick it back up just to be transported back to your childhood. For what it sets out to do, the game renders the graphics and sounds well and provides a decent number of options.
A large ad bar will dominate the top half of the screen. Its blinking can be an annoying distraction for those playing the game on small screens. The controls are also slightly buggy and won't respond to the user's input in a timely fashion.

Just like the snes emulator the button layout needs to be improved. It should resemble a gameboy instead of the funny vertical layout for the AB buttons. Also the Dpad needs to be redesigned. Its not very easy to play simple games like SMB3 even Kirbys Adventure is difficult with this on screen controller layout. On the plus side this emulator automatically found all my NES ROM's.
