My Brute is a successful cross-platform game that merges two genres: fighting and RPG

After reaching great success on iOS and millions of players, My Brute, an original game that merges RPG features and dojo fighting games hits Android. It's time to see if it fulfill expectations.

Your way to become the best martial arts fighter on Earth begins with the creation of your character. You can tweak elements as gender, hairstyle, clothing and accesories. Likewise, you need to name it and even more important, choose one of the martial art school (three different fighting styles): snake, cat or bear. Each them with specific skills: snake is quickness (hit first), cat is agility (dodge blows) and bear is strength (take blows). You can also choose your location on a real World map.

Once everything is set your adventure starts. Although we've said this is a mix of fighting game and RPG, the features of the latter prevail. Actually, combat system is automatic and turn-based, based on the abilities and skills you've made your fighter learn on the manager menu. Thus, you can apply spells, domesticate pets to help you defeating enemies, improve your weaponry and equipment, learn special moves... and many more. Combats make you gaining experience no matter if you lose or win them.

You'll be called to fight against real players with similar level from around the World but, and this really surprised us, you can only take part up to five different combats/day. Then, although you'll be able to manage your character, you won't be able to fight until 24h later. This limitation could seem a suicide but fits perfectly with mobile gameplay: you will find your "My Brute" time in your daily schedule. What's more, you can create up to 8 players in your dojo: if you play with all of them you'll take part in up to 40 combats/day. Enough.

Hand-drawn manga-style graphics are cute. UI has been carefully developed to make the game high playable. As we said there's a iOS version and a browser version also. You'll be able to beat fighters playing from all these platforms. The only catch of the game is that we would like to take more control of the combat (change weapons, launch spells, switch pets, etc.). Despite of this, this is a hit.
