Game needs to extract some files before playing (a minute or so) but fun starts as fast as you enter the practice mode and learn the basic principles of seamanship: starboard, larboard, reloading cannons time and the two mysterious buttons at the bottom of the screen: the left one to shadow your ship to a safer place, the right one to create a somewhat mystic shield. Once you choose a room to play, you'll see that games are pitched battles with no friend fire, where users enter and leave as the servers allow it.
As you earn more coins defeating enemies you can purchase better ships (we've even seen a galleon bombing around) or, if you want to upgrade your ship faster, you can exchange real money for pirate chips through an in-app purchase.
Every time your ship blows up you have to wait half a minute or so to respawn, time where you are assaulted by ads while you recover your breath.
In a few words, a very addictive game easy to learn but hard, very hard to master, that squeezes the best of our devices out and assures hours and hours of entertainment. If you are a gamer, Pirated 3D is our advice.
