Pyxidis is a tetris-like puzzle game. The purpose is to create constellations by connecting three or more stars of the same colour.
From Tetris to Columns or Bubble Bobble, we all have played this kind of games. So even if the graphics, the shape of the objects or the gameplot change, it is still the same: you have to connect figures of the same color. In this case you're a wizard that needs to create new constellations by you putting together three or more stars.
There are three game modes: “adventure” (56 levels), “challenge” (98 levels) and “endless”. When you score you earn Pyxidis currency that will allow you to purchase spells in the Magic Shop that will help you to pass some levels.
We've noticed some catches though. It eventually forces you to pay for spells that you must buy to end up some levels. It would be better to launch a paid version instead of doing that. Besides that, the way the constellations are set in the screen it's a bit messy.
The developer of Pyxidis is HyperBees Ltd, a promising mobile game developer who has launched several titles like Speedx3D, Prism3D or JellyBalls, among other.
The idea it isn't original at all, but we all know it works. What's more, the wizard-themed with the Magic Shop and its spells as well as its beautiful graphics make it more interesting. It's high playable and entertaining.
You are a mighty wizard, with a penchant for creating new constellations in the sky. Use your magic wand and spells to connect three or more stars of the same colour.
