"Pixelated story"

Reviewed by: Emmanuel Lund / Nov 30, 2012

Rico is a pixelated platformer an interesting plot

Rico and Nameless are brothers representing Evil and Good, as a pixelated version of Cain and Abel. An eternal struggle that got unbalanced when Rico (the black evil brother) took Nameless' powers away. You embody Nameless (the white good brother) in the crusade to recover his powers.

Thus, you will have to run across the levels, jump over obstacles, climb mountains, explore caves, swim through water... and many more. Depending on the difficulty level you choose, falling will hurt or not, you'll have endless lives or not. Select the one you think you're able to beat and be ready to fly with a jetpack, hop on moving platforms and jump over acid pits.

Game's difficulty increases after each level, so you better find upgrades to boost your skills or there'll be no way to surpass new challenges. There are four difficulty levels and 8 levels (more are included in the full version).

If you're a pixels lover, you're going to freak out with this game. You can even count them on your fingers. Controls are basic: two direction arrows and a button for jumping. That's it. Good game.

There is an issue with purchasing the full version right now, but it should be resolved soon. I posted on the devs website about not being able to finalize my purchase, and got a quick response. The demo has me salivating for the full version. Classic gam

It would be perfect if the buttons were a tad larger. Also, gamepad support, please. I want to play this game with a Wii-mote.

The game is challenging, with sharp visuals and catchy music. Its only issue are the touch screen controls, which are sometimes unresponsive and not really suited for an old-school platform game like this one. Would love to play it on a device with physic
