Snake '98 is a tribute to the classic Nokia snake game

Nokia's snake game set the origins of massive mobile gaming. Who hasn't ever played it? I'm pretty sure we all did. Fifteen years later Nokia's snake is a classic. Playing it in our powerful smartphones is a nostalgic invocation of those great moments you spent with your Nokia 3210. Thrilling. It gives us goosebumps just by thinking of it.

Snake '98 looking may seem weird at first sight: a partial photo of different Nokia devices that included snake classic: 3210, 3310, 2115i, 6210. These skins can be changed at your whim (fullscreen too, slide controls). However, this way you can play as if you had one of those Nokia devices with keyboard.

Of course, gameplay is the same: feed the snake to make it grow while avoiding touching walls and itself. The longer you last, the better your score will be. You can submit your scores on online leaderboards provided by Scoreloop. Thanks to this feature classic snake becomes social and you can check how you are -or aren't- as good as you believed you were.

There are three different game modes: Standard, No Borders and Random Walls (like in Nokia devices). Of course, you can also adjust difficulty (11 levels). The scenery, its sound effects and Nokia devices themes, will bring you back to latest nineties. A sweet candy for nostalgics and a great work by GuckiDev dusting it off from the pre-smartphone era.
