Star Defender 3 is a space invaders like game for Android

We are witnessing the releasing of quite a few worthy heirs to space invaders. Star Defender 3™ is one of them. It brings you to the year 2743 A.D. The galaxy is involved in numerous wars that bring humans face to face with Insectus, a race of aliens which try to defeat human race.

Humans have sent their best spaceship squadron to finish off Insectus hordes. You'll have to emerge victorious from the current war, blasting through 8 huge missions including over 100 levels. As you kill Insectus you'll get missiles, mines, lasers, nuclear bombs, parasitron, lightning, infector... and many other weapons that will help you out to fulfill your missions.

Controls are one of the feature we liked most of this space shooter game. It introduces a new one-finger control system: you shoot and move left/right with the same joystick-like button. There are two buttons, primary and secondary weapons. Graphics aren't stunning but cute retro-looking.

There are some other extras that we really appreciate since make the game high playable: bonus system, including Time Freeze, Missile Strike and Immortality.

In summary, for those who enjoyed classic space shooter games, this is a good choice to re-take them. For newbies, this is a good starting point, since it keeps the essence of classic space shooters but introducing innovative controls specially optimized for smartphones and tables.
