Wizard Runner

Wizard Runner is a canabalt-like running game with a storyline.

Boolba Labs, LLC, developers of some successful games as "Toss it" and "Smiley Pops" has launched this Canabalt-like running game that looks like half a platformer, half a RPG. There's a storyline backing the game.

The purpose is to drive the running wizard through different stages. Rudimentary robots and mechanics enemies will try to stop him. Just run, jump and shot magic attacks to avoid them to beating the Wizard. As you progress through the game, you will get useful upgrades like new magic attacks, higher jump or run longer.

The controls are quite easy: press the left button to jump, swipe to shoot. You don't need anything else to advance through seven different locations and beating all the enemies on your path as well as the final boss. Graphics are too simple though and could be certainly enhanced. There are two version of the game, normal and HD, both free.

If you are one of those who like to share their scores, you can submit them on online leaderboards provided by OpenFeint as well as on your Facebook timeline. In summary, a simple game that try to merge to game genre. Recommendable.
