A frequent complaint from some, new to NN (neural net) backgammon programs is "the program cheats". No, it does not cheat. If you are not convinced of this, try one of the NN programs (gnubg, jellyfish) that offer a "manual dice" feature. You will find that they win just as well you roll the dice or not. The perception that a skilled opponent is always incredibly lucky is a due to a combination of human nature..we remember our bad luck and forget the good rolls, and an ignorance of the subtle methods that experienced players use to maximize their chances.

Plays well but every now and then denies you one of your moves eg. you throw a 63, it allows you to move the 3 but not the 6, despite there being a legal move!

It's a good game but the generator that rolls is slanted towards the computers side. Definitely a disproportionate set-up.

What else can I say? This app is so buggy while playing with FIBS, It is even ruining my statistics within that system as it just loses the current position, making its own movements even with auto move disabled. Alca must rethink the FIBS interface or just drop it as it delivers the most disgusting experience you may imagine.

Love the game, nice to play when nobody else is around, the AI is actually quite good. My big problem is that towards the end when AI starts to take pieces out, a ridiculous amount of doubles are 100% guaranteed, it's not a question of if, but a question of how many the AI will roll in a row. Just ruins the end quite often and it happens every time.
