We're sure that the thinking heads in Rovio are feeling how the Angry Birds formula slowly banishes and, as Angry Birds Star Wars is unbeatable, nobody cares about Amazing Alex and Bad Piggies is, well, there along a little yet loyal fan base, it's time to explore new grounds now that they can superlatively afford it. Indeed, Tiny Thief is not strictly a Rovio's idea, but 5ants's, a little über-creative team settled in Barcelona. Anyway, you'll see Rovio's mark everywhere, and some details can already be considered Rovio's signature: a catchy and easily remixable tune, plain and colorful design, clever use of onomatopoeias...
Tiny thief can be considered a puzzle game. In every stage you're given a mission, but it seems there are no rules other than tap to go anywhere and tap to interact with items. Yes, it comes to be like those adventure games of yonder made with SCUM but with even less interface options, thus mixing reasoning and deduction with trial and error, let alone a lot of little surprises here and there.
Hardcore "kill everything" gamers might not enjoy it at all, but it's recommendable to all ages. Now let's hope that Rovio updates and keeps it alive as it's been doing with its star franchise so far.
