"Electrical puzzle"

Reviewed by / Jul 27, 2012

Capricious Circuitry is an original puzzle game for Android

Since this is one of those swaping blocks puzzle game (grid with swipable tiles), we all know how it works. Donate version removes ads.

However, this is not about put tiles in order to discover the image. You have to swap blocks to complete electric circuits and make the electricity flowing from one generator to the bulbs.

This original gameplay makes the game way more interesting. There are up to 100 levels, increasing complexity, to get your brains racked. Actually, you can jump directly to difficult levels if you find first levels too easy. There's an indicator of the level difficulty in the level selection menu.

Try to complete the circuit with the least moves to get the highest score (three stars scoring system). Besides, basic stuff as bulbs, wires and generators, other items will appear to make the game more difficult and challenging. Items like black circular objects called "teleports". These allow power to be transmitted to all other teleports.

In summary, original, challenging and addictive. A great game which only catch is the scenery and some issues with the screentouch responses.

Developer's original description available here
Capricious Circuitry is a puzzle game where you swap blocks around in order to power all the light bulbs. There are, as of now, 100 levels, although more are planned to be added in future updates. Some of the levels in this game are quite difficult.

This is the donate version, which removes ads. Note that there is also a free version if you’d like to try the game out and don’t mind ads, titled “Capricious Circuitry [Free]”.

How to play:
On the main game screen, you’ll see a grid of tiles. One of the tiles is missing, however (the black coloured area). If you tap a tile next to the missing tile, they will swap. By doing this, you need to arrange the wires to connect all the lightbulbs to a power source. There are also black circular objects called ‘teleports.’ These allow power to be transmitted to all other teleports. That is, provided one teleport tile is powered, all others will be. If any of this seems unclear, there are also instructions within the game, which may also help.

Explanation of permissions:

These are used only for error reporting should the app crash. No personally identifiable information or personal information is sent in any error reports this app sends.

Should work on Android 1.5 and up.

Might crash on Android 1.5 and 1.6. I've tried my best to fix this (most of my updates are to fix stuff on Android 1.5). Try restarting the app, and see if that fixes it.

Recently changed in this version

Fixed a problem with ads. There may still be crashes due to OOM. I'm not sure how to fix this.
