"Awesome turn-based game"

Reviewed by: Peter Warrior / Jul 13, 2011

It's quite difficult to explain. Maybe we've found a new concept of board game between chess and reversi...can we call it abstract animal strategy?

From time to time appears an app able to surprise us. Everlands is an excellent brainteaser gift wrapped with cute graphics and a fun yet linear plot.

An excellent -and welcomed- tutorial and a so well done graphic work. Every animal has his strengths and flaws and is able to attack in some certain directions. Some animals help nearby allies or penalize their nearest foes. Combinations are nearly uncountable. In every respect, the developer has given his best.

One of the best virtues of Hexagen games is the music and Everlands is no exception. It's somewhat electro-chill-out...but it's wonderful.

In conclusion, this isn't a download, play and uninstall game. This is a game to be downloaded and remain installed until you truly understand all the subtle strategies and tactics it has to offer. Even when there are only included five levels in this Lite version, it'll take you a lot of hard work to go through them. When you achieve to complete the fifth, you'll be prepared to purchase the complete app.

Ignore the complaints about balance and difficulty, this game is VERY well done. Despite the "kids' game exterior, this is actually a very challenging hexagonal boarded map control game vaguely similar to Samurai. The AI is not "too hard" as some suggest,

This game is really amazing but have two big flaws: 1) The game have a huge advantage to the one playing last, since the first to play will lose his piece immediately. 2) The AI is freaking hard, is praticaly impossible to beat it in the late stages. Wi

As many have said before, don't be fooled into thinking that this game is all fluff just from the artwork; it is a seriously strategic exercise. I will say that the way the game was presented definitely sold my two daughters on it, which I don't think wou

I really enjoy Hexage's games but this one is simply too hard. On the 4th board, I tried several times before simply letting the computer make all my moves in the hope of learning the strategy...and I still lost. Try Robotek or Radiant Defense instead.

I haven't play it yet 'cause I can't enter the profile name as I use in Robotek, let me tell you some advice, change it to sign in method or something like username and password, would you?

Do not be fooled by the kiddy-like visuals and Winnie-the-pooh-esque story. This is a bloody tough, unforgiving strategy game that nearly caused me to throw my phone across the room. Could do with the difficulty turned down a notch or two, which actually
