This is a challenging word logic app based on the classic game Jotto. It is small program which loads in just about any Android phone and very simple to use and we find it highly addictive. The game is FREE and has no adds and will never have.
This game is played mainly as standalone, but can be played in multiplayer mode as well. It only connects to the internet when the user wants to report the results of a game, therefore, the user has full control.
The purpose of the game is to guess the computer's secret five letter word with the minimum number of tries. Games with lower number of shots improve your handicap.
The 5 letter secret word has no repeat letters and no proper names are included in the dictionary (over 3000 words).
Check the Android Market for updates. Tell your friends and play with them!
Try it and have fun! ... and try to keep your handicap under 10... if you can!

NOTE: Version 2.1 fixes small Reset bug.
NEWS FLASH: The latest much improved version 2.0 includes (by "popular" demand!) alphabet 'buttons' with individual letters that can change color state. It helps a lot to visualize which letters are still possible (or not) during a game. We also improved the performance when switching into and out of the multiplayer screens and some minor bugs.

Took 26 years to find this game again. Solo or an opponent is great. Those 26 years my husband and I still played on scrap paper. Thanks ...10 stars!!

Needs a way to mark eliminated letters & highlight those identified. To be true Jotto, needs those + whether or not a guessed letter is in right spot in word. Add those features & I'd give 5 stars & pay for it!

I was so happy to find JOTTO bc it was my favorite game growing up. Maybe this was your first try but it could use a lot of work. If you could make the alphabet/notepad where you can cross off letters with an "x" and circle letters just for a start.
