MahJong solitaire is played with tiles that are similar in function to playing cards. The object is to clear the playing area of tiles by matching pairs. You may only remove a pair of tiles if they both satisfy the following criteria:
* There are no pieces directly to the left or right of the tile you wish to remove.
* There are no pieces directly above any part of it.
A player can only remove the tiles one pair at a time. There are a total of 72 pairs in a game of MahJong solitaire. Like cards, the tiles have standard suits. These suits are Characters, Bamboos, Circles, Dragons, Winds, Seasons, and Flowers.
When matching pairs, Seasons and Flowers are the only suits you do not need to match exactly. Any Season or Flower combination counts as a pair because there is only one of each tile.
When you have no more pairs, the game is over. If you clear the board, you win.
From the menu, you can start a new game or continue an old one. In the game there are options. You can set the display of the number of free pairs, to fix the position of the screen in landscape mode and more.

Recently changed in this version:
- Added Layout "Arena"
- Hidden gestures. Will now be gradually added additional features to facilitate the solution of solitaire. But the philosophy of yin yang balance, forces to do is not obvious.

I have loved this game forever and this one is a lot of fun.. I just don't like that it needs internet access to play... they need to start making games that you can play without internet, but I guess that's how they get you to get hooked on a game an use

I liked it right up until today's update. Now it won't load. Uninstalled and reinstalled twice; still get error/quit unexpectantly messages.

This works well, and is the best free version I've found. Graphics and sound are very good. Some features, like display of remaining moves or an 'undo' feature are worthy of improvement. Otherwise a very worthy game.
