A platformer about timing and deadly traps

"This Could Hurt", besides having one of the most titles for a game ever, is a sort of ninja training puzzle game in which you have to survive every stage full of spiked balls, filthy traps, conveyor belts, flamethrowers, saws, pits and so. It's a race against time, so the faster you achieve the goal the better your score.

However, don't expect too much control over your character. He automatically moves toward a certain death, and you can only tap to come him to a sudden stop; and tap again to resume his path. It's all about timing. You can buy power-ups from the shop, but they only last once, so if you get stuck over you'll have to put real money on the table if you have run out of in-game currency.

Graphics and animations are stunning even on middle-end devices, soundtrack is enjoyable and here's fun for hours. It's enjoyable by anyone from children to oldies, and it's only flaw is that it may not feel like it's enough, and a missing chance to create a truly masterpiece. We can always dream with level editors, customizable characters and somehow shareable time trials, but we'll have to be content with what we've given.

Looks superb but... Controls are too simple, you feel like you have little control of what is going on. Deadly traps aren't deadly making the game even less interesting. No replay value, it's hard enough staying interested to play all of the levels once.
