A fantasy CCG
Openly influenced by Magic and many other fantasy role playing collectible card games (abbreviated FYI, fantasy RPG CCGs), Battlegrounds of Eldhelm main features are a not too complicated set of rules, easy to read cards and a direct approach with flashy combos but not too twisted strategies. Hand-drawn artwork is fine and always welcomed, and there's a step by step tutorial so you can learn the basics even if you haven't ever played a similar game before.
We found there weren't many available players at the moment of this review, but there were enough. This game is played on the cloud, so it needs constant connection to the Internet, a flaw it shares with all other CCGs for mobiles. If you don't want to battle other players online, there's also a cooperative mode so you can join forces against the AI.
If you prefer to go solo, there's a campaign you can enjoy on your own and master the three different decks (colors). This game is also cross-platform, so you can also play it from home. Lastly, although there are available in-app purchases to boost your progress, this game isn't as demanding or insistent as others.
The game features:
+ Unique card discovery and collecting process;
+ Be a HERO (or a team of heroes) - as in all rpgs rise levels, distribute stat points, train skills and create decks;
+ Powerful card combination mechanics facilitating strategy - still there are over 200 cards;
+ We are taking the balance and the freemium thing very seriously;
Play on your own in the single player campaign or duel other players for high scores. The available game modes are campaign, custom versus A.I. and five types of multiplayer - arena (ranking pvp), custom (ranking pvp via invite - challenge), cooperative (slay the beast), guilds (conquer the lands of Eldhelm and guild wars) and of course - tournaments (duel, direct elimination).
+ Duel for the ladder board, challenge your friends or join forces against a powerful boss-like enemy or versus enemy guilds.
+ Crusade in the campaign to be the ruler of the Eldhelm land and never be bored with the daily quests!
+ We are doing tournaments with awesome rewards at least once a month!
Battlegrounds of Eldhelm features also:
+ Three races (orc, elf, human) each containing different character classes (melee, ranged, caster) with completely different play styles;
+ Customization of the visual appearance of your hero;
+ A handy deck organization and creation tools - create, delete, modify decks without any limits;
+ A true multiplatform experience - available for web-browser, as desktop application and as mobile apps for all major platforms;
+ Epic music and 3D graphics;
+ Translation in multiple languages;
So you think Yu-Gi-Oh and Hearthstone are too easy and Magic the Gathering is too complex then Battlegrounds of Eldhelm is for you!
+ Card effects are calculated in a unique way;
+ Tired of monsters and minions - here cards are spells, items and abbilities;
+ All cards are kept in a stash and a deck mean only a group - one card can be in as many decks as you like;
Plenty of five star reviews, here are some:
★★★★★ "Awesome game!! The best strategy card game out there. And just keeps getting better everyday."
★★★★★ "Best CCG on Android!! Not only is it a fun game with strategic depth and great atmosphere ... Full Player vs Player and a really long AI campaign give hours and hours of exciting play. If you like games like Magic the Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh, give this game a try. It has one of the most unique card collecting mechanics I've ever seen in a collectible card game. You can also play this game on any desktop computer with your web browser in full screen. Check out the website. I can't recommend this game enough!!"
★★★★★ "Class At first glance, the game reminded Shadow Era, but it was much better. Good balance, a few versions of the game (against the AI, against another player and the campaign), an interesting mechanic, not extort money at every turn, and the graphics are good. Best of the tcg games tested by me."
Some other notes:
+ We are really sad about the media storage permission. We aim to run the game with as little permissions as possible, but as we are more than 50Mb now we need to use it according to the Google guidelines. You can be sure that our only intention is to deliver our great game to your device!
+ The game is entirely online (cloud based) and requires a low latency internet connection - a wi-fi or unlimited 3G/4G internet connection is advised;
+ Contact us from our web form http://support.eldhelm.com, via e-mail or through the in-game feedback form! We would love to hear from you!
+ Support and play indie games!

Good to play. you shud uuse it
A very decent game in general, a good way to spend time if you're stuck somewhere waiting for something. Beautiful artwork, quests, campaigns, PvP, it's all there. HOWEVER, the story line and the description of the cards seem to be written by a teenage girl, who had never read anything aside from manga. In my humble opinion, the game should have a great, well written story or none whatsoever. It w

Couldnt get pass the set up. Ten min loading wheel when connecting with google play....
Its a great game, I'm only confused at how is it that no matter how much times I mount a 60 + hit against the computer in training that it miraculously mounts a defense that negates at least 70-86% of my attack. That is one bad ass training session I must say. And how do I get new cards because I am fed up of seeing the old ones, and its hard to get by buying because I'm always caught with the c
Tried the tutorial and it says to swipe over the card but when I do, it closes the text window explaining what is happening.
