First time I played this game I said: wow! By now, I've reviewed lots of games location-based mostly about dropping and catching diamonds, stars and other virtual objects. Likewise, I'm a Foursquare user, so I'm used to majorships and badges system based on check-ins. However, Bunker Buster has turned upside down that gameplay.
Bunker Buster puts you in the shoes of a new recruit whose purpose is to contribute to win a War. How shall you do it? By occupying building (check-ins on places around you), attacking occupied ones (attacking it with your troops), buying weapons and war vehicles, and many other stuff. Depending on your performance you will get credits and units to strengthen your battalion.
One of the features that make the difference are the video-briefings. The game is based on missions you have to fulfill. Before and after a mission you see a video-briefing from your Lieutenant or Weapons provider explaining you the objectives. This really gets you into the game.
Interface helps the user to get the hang of it super soon. GPS and location works pretty good: it's Google Maps-based, so you'll get lots of places around you. The only catch of this kind of games is if there's an enough amount of players around you to make it really interesting. In other words, if you're attacked frequently if you have enough building next to you to occupy/attack. That's what makes it challenging. Although that has an easy solution: spread the word. The game is really worth.
