A mash up of Tower defense and RPG

Be warned: when you first download this game, be prepared for a fiendish extra download (200Mb+). It has its reward, though.

The first that will catch your eye are SNES retro graphics while actively playing and gorgeous card like character artwork. Likewise, music is awesome, so we can advance that this game would have an A+ artistic rating. Remember that all cards gotten so far can be seen in the album. A place to gather artwork of the game is something usual in consoles, but in mobile gaming most developers use to fail to do.

Regarding gameplay, is something quite original and interesting, even though it might not be what you are expecting. Each battle or quest is a sort of micro tower defense, where you place your heroes along the way of your foes in order to stop them before they reach the end of the path. At the end, gold and experience points are rewarded. Between quests, you can sacrifice cards to boost your favorite heroes and explore other options such as stealing artifacts, trade with other players as long as you have something to trade, enter the arena or going in training for level up your party in exchange for 'training points'. This is must be perfectly clear, as soon or later you will get stuck among the umpteen quests and cooldowns, so this alternative options will be of vital importance to not getting bored of Fantasica.

On the other hand, this game needs odd loadings here and there and maybe too many internet checks. Sometimes you will feel swamped when browsing through the menus. In addition, as it's a game distributed under Mobage umbrella, there's a compulsory sign up or log in at the very beginning. As expected, the more friends you lure into the game, the better, though it isn't strictly necessary.

Anyway, a great eclectic game, enjoyable both by hardcore RPG gamers seeking for something more casual and casual gamers looking for something a little bit more brainy alike.
