"Dig deeper and deeper to get the precious metals"

Reviewed by: Emmanuel Lund / Jun 14, 2011

Gem Miner is a platform game which purpose is to dig to find gems and metals and sell them to make big money

This is the paid version of Gem Miner called Gem Miner: Dig deeper (£1.35), that brings extra-features, unlock levels and support for bluetooth Zeemote JS1 controller. And it's ad-free.

You embody an old miner looking for making a fortune for retirement. You start with a hand-pick and a bag to collect gems and metals. Get as much as you can. But it isn't going to be that easy. You will have to buy upgrades with your profits to get better tools: stairs, seismic analyzers, lifts, ladders, and so on. That tools will help you out to dig deeper and to find more precious metals that will make you earn even more money. But be careful! Don't run your stamina out or you will get stuck on the depth of the mine.

You control the miner by tapping on the direction you want him to move. The same for digging: tap on the rock you want him to smash. You have a bag to keep all the stuff you collect as well as your special tools.
There are different game modes: "Main game" in which you will have to advanced through levels by collecting as much as gems and metals as you can. "Challenge mode" that contains timed challenges and many other missions that you will have to unlock.

Gem Miner has been developed by the well-known Psym Mobile, a developer focused on mobile games flash based.

Never had any problems, is challenging and highly addictive. I wish that the sequel was simply a repeat of this formula but with different maps and materials with new effects-- instead of an entirely new thing with a similar theme. Still love the original

Great game, but why does it need Bluetooth administration? Far too many developers asking for excessive permissions.

Never thought I'd like this type of game. But after playing the free version, I had to buy this. Love the free play mode best.

Can't use your save from free version in full, pretty annoying if you don't know.
