OK, Namco, you've gone too far. Tekken Card Tournament was a bittersweet surprise, but at least it was a more than decent card game as long as you can bear the ruling unbalance among different characters and the more often than not server fails.
However, this Tekken Arena, which can only be seen as a vulgaris "strategic" browser game misusing the already lacking in charisma Tekken characters, is a step back from what players expect. The dual currency system, avoided in TCC, doesn't help either to make this game look better. Of course, it's far better than many other similar games, that's the least we could ask such a big company as Namco, but it neither adds something to an already overused genre nor is fun beyond the tap to improve and stat, wait, start a fight and start over again. Usually this games are remarkable if only for their artwork, but this isn't the case, though.
What will be next? Namco Pachinko Tekken game? Or why not Namco Slot-machine Tekken?
