CopyKat is a skill based drawing game.
The objective of the game is to draw the shape presented with your finger onto the green drawboard. The larger your copy the more points are scored. You cannot however exceed the size of the original shape and your copy must fit inside the original.
Each shape has the potential maximum score of 1000. Also the larger you draw your copy of the shape the harder it becomes to increase your score as you approach the maximum possible size of the original shape.
The game has four difficulty levels, lower levels providing assistance, the highest level providing the most difficult environment. In general the higher the shape number the higher the complexity of the shape.
Smaller mobile devices have less aggressive shapes due to the increased difficulty when playing on these devices. Conversely larger device shape's are slightly more aggressive.
Each country has its own National leader boards for those players whose total score for the difficulty being played is in the top 99 values.
Leader boards exist for each different size of mobile device to ensure that players are competing within a similar environment.
A special level is also available for the National leader boards. The overall top 99 scores across all difficulties.
If you do not wish to participate in the National leader boards, do not complete the GlobalName data field found in the Player Maintenance screens. Any inappropriate terms or words in a global name will result from the offending name being deleted from the main database, and will cause the offenders game to fail.
Six shapes have been included in this version of CopyKat. The full range of shapes will be available in the first non beta version of CopyKat.
This level allows the player to draw several lines to complete the shape. This level allows the finger to be removed from the drawing surface and returned.
This level will also automatically position the players shape.
This level will only automatically position the players shape. You cannot remove your finger from the drawing surface, doing so will cause the scoring process to begin and will normally result with the message "Shape not closed" being displayed.
If the game detects the shape has been closed the scoring process will automatically begin.
Automatic positioning no longer occurs for this level and the next. The actual position where you place your drawing is the position used when fitting your drawing inside the original.
This level is also timed. The amount of time allowed is dependent on the line length required to draw the original. After a quarter of the time allowed has elapsed the maximum achievable score starts to decrease.
The current attempt is terminated if the timer expires as it will become impossible to achieve a score.
This level option can only be found on the national high scores screen.
It displays the highest national player totals across all shapes and difficulty levels and will determine the true masters of the game!
