Making math fun for kids is no easy task. Incentivize them with a digital sticker chart in Marc Thomas' Math Doodle.
Enter in the player's name and gender to create a profile. Specify difficulty level and type of operation desired to practice (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, times table, or mixed mode), then start the game. Enough correct answers will be rewarded with a sticker to place on the chart, which could seem like small motivation - but it was sufficient to keep me, a fully grown adult, playing for four rounds in a row, so.
The one small complaint I have is that the boys' stickers are WAY cooler than the girls': think awesome dinosaurs versus little pink hearts. Last time I checked, I was both female and a pterodactyl-lover, so it would be nice to be able to choose from sticker collections rather than sort them by gender stereotypes.
That said, I really like Marc Thomas' Math Doodle. It's super simple and very well executed, and I can definitely imagine it working as effective math practice for kids.
