Pokkkeh! tells the story of an alien species which have run out of eggs from which to hatch their young. Gosh! How will they survive? In their search through space for salvation, they came across a nice little green planet in the Solar System by the name of Earth.
As the alien mothership scouts the Earth in the midday afternoon heat, it passes through a farm and discovers some hens that are laying eggs! Eggs! Eggs that it needs!
The sly aliens then close in on the hens. They intend to capture the hens’ eggs for themselves and them hatch their babies from the eggs. In order to do so, the aliens need to charge up their “Shock Gun” by matching electrons and signs to form arithmetic equations. Once the “Shock Bar” is full, the gun discharges a bolt of lightning that “encourages” the hen to lay an egg! As the egg rows below the alien mothership, the ship uses a suction beam to bring the egg back to its incubators!
In the game there's an 8x8 grid of tiles. The tiles can either be a sign (+, -, x, /), or a digit (0-9). To play, glide your finger along the tiles to choose 3 tiles. The first tile must be a number (num1), second must be a sign (sign), and the third must be a number (num2). The tiles can be on the same row or column, or they can be connected in an L-shape. The following rules are then applied based on the sign:
sign is a +: Score is num1 + num2
sign is a -: Score is num1 - num2
sign is a x: Score is num1 x num2
sign is a /: Score is num1 / num2 (integer division, that means 9 / 5 is 1)
Whatever the result of the equation is, the Mothership earns 3 times the result as points (1 for each square, each match requires 3 squares). So if you got (3x5), the Mothership gets 45 points. If you got (5-4), the Mothership gets 3 points.
When the Mothership gets enough points, it unleashes a bolt of lightning onto the Mother Hen and gets an egg!
How many eggs can you capture for the aliens?
