This is the sequel of Quell, with 8 new stages (24 extra levels). The order you play doesn't matter since this version is also including a tutorial. Actually, we played first Quell Reflect and thanks to it we discovered Quell.
This is a charm puzzle game with an original gameplay. The purpose is to slide a ball through the board to collect all the pearls in each level. The ball can be moved horizontally and vertically and it just stops when it finds a wall on its way. Collecting all the pearls with as few moves as possible will guarantee a high score. If you achieve it, you'll get a "Perfect". You can replay the level as many times as you want to improve your personal best until reaching the perfect.
We recommend you to play the tutorial stages made up by 4 levels to get the hang of it quickly. Then you'll be ready to play. There up to 24 regular levels, divided in 8 stages of three levels each. However, you'll see that new handicaps, items and skills will appear in each level. You can learn how it works by reading the headings at the bottom. There are lots of new items to make it even more challenging. What's more, there are over 35 achievements to unlock. If you get stuck in one level, you can use hints to get a clue on how to solve it. You'll gain hints depending on your performance in each level.
Graphics are simple and cute. The transitions between levels unveil that the game is backed by a hard-work on design. Soundtrack is also great. In a nutshell, what we got here is an original and challenging puzzle game well developed by FallenTreeGames. A must-have for puzzle lovers.
