"Building bridges has never been so funny"

Reviewed by / May 05, 2011

Use your skills and the given amount of materials to construct a bridge properly, to let the train crossing safe and sound

Sounds easy, but it's not. This is one of that puzzle games that will drive you mad trying to get the next level. X-Construction Lite is the free version that includes 15 different stages (in the paid version there are available additional stages and the “free build mode”).

The game starts just with a valley, a cliff and an amount of girder and ropes that you will have to fit properly to build a bridge. The main challenge is to construct something stable with that limited resources. We let you know that you will often beg for having one or two more girder to complete your construction. But the game won't give you extra materials. And that's the keystone of the game, what makes it so funny. Once you have the bridge built (or you consider so), you just have to click on the play button to check if the train can cross it without falling down the cliff. If it happens, you will have to listen to scary screams of the poor travellers into the train. Then, you will have to improve your construction in order to make it more stable. Once the train gets to the other side of the valley (even if the bridge is far from being good), you will get to the next stage.

Graphics are quite simple, although that doesn't really mean in this kind of games. What matters is its acceptable screentouch response (since you have to drag girders an ropes to construct) and its high playablity.

X-Construction Lite is a really addictive game and it is worth to get the paid version. However, we are missing more than 15 levels in the free version, a trial of the “free build mode” and maybe, more different kind of materials. Despite of this, it's an excellent game that brings together simplicity and playability.

X-Construction Lite is developed by crossconstruct who has just launched the free and the paid version of X-Construction on the market with a remarkably success.

If you like puzzle games, you will love X-Construction. It will make you rack your brains to complete every single level. Ready for the challenge?

Nice! Challenging. Would be nice if it was a little easier to place things.

I love it! 3 was hard as crap I barely got through it. I agree with the comment about touchscreen issues, your finger obscures the girter thing, but I don't know how to avoid that and zooming helps a lot.

I got the train stuck!!! There was nothing wrong with the bridge... it was nice and sturdy, there just wasn't enough girders so there was a little gap and the train got stuck!!
