Here it is! [insert Angry Birds tune here]
Angry Birds Go follows the scheme of any downhill racing game, conveniently revamped with the lovely green pigs and the mean birds. As any other game of the Angry Birds franchise, cartoonish eye-catching design and catchy canned tunes are the main attraction, but soon you'll discover there's an awesome work behind the curtain in order to make of this Angry Birds Go! game something more.
This game can be played for free forever, though there are as many in-app purchases as you would expect, and some of them are really expensive and oriented to some sort of digital collecting. Gameplay, the very core essence of Angry Birds' franchise, is awesome, raw fun, and can be learned in a minute. Your mother can learn it, your grandaddy can learn to play. It isn't a driving game, you have only to tilt your device (on-screen controls also available) left or right and let physics do the rest. In fact, it's closer to "that game where you're chased by gorillas" more than Mario Kart.
The power-up and upgrade system are nice, though some players would have preferred more stuff on the track (green shells anyone?). Anyway, if there's something missing is the lack of a wifi multiplayer which would have made of this something really, really great. You'll have to content yourself with online social leaderboards.
Highly recommended. It can be Rovio's, it can be Angry Birds, but above all these things, it's fun.
