First off: a 526 Mb download of additional content is needed in order to play Asphalt 6. Gauge half an hour or so at best. It's the price for a game that not only has nothing to envy to any PSP-like game, but also we can say it's far better that nearly anything we've seen before. Technologically speaking, at least.
Beyond the awesome official car licenses (Ferrari, Nissan...), don't expect a loop of races alike. The stately scenarios come with new rules every time. Some times the last car is eliminated every minute, to give an example. Pay attention to the rules before starting each race and listen to your (female voice) copilot. The best part of all is wrestling with your rivals to get them wrecked against incoming cars. Yes, the IA will positively notify you when another driver has crashed into something. That's part of the show.
If this wasn't enough, up to 6 players may race at the same time. Therefore, you can push your friends to a certain death, err, we mean, a ten second penalty. The 3D garage looks gorgeous, particularly when you fill it with a few Lamborghini, Aston Martin and add a hand-made Ducatti as a final touch.
It's hard not to give Asphalt a 5/5. However, there are a few things we don't like at all. The lesser evil is the in-app store. Being itself a paid app, it's sort of redundant and purchases aren't cheap. The initial downloading is excessive, no matter if it's saved into your SDcard, we're talking about half a Gb and that's too much space. Perhaps soon it'll be something usual and we won't be able to penalize it, until then, it's a flaw because not-so-high-end devices can't even dream of Asphalt 6. Lastly, maybe it is too arcade-like, so if you are fond of more simulation driving games it may find it too straightforward and get bored too quickly
