"Rise for the Deck Lord"

Collectible Card Games have been all the rage since the first smartphones, and it can be considered nowadays an exhausted, abused and overused genre. Fortunately, there are who dare to gather the ashes and revive it gathering the very best of each world.

Furthermore, several features that were considered as a given as anime artwork and one button tapping quests have been replaced for a more balanced and understandable gameplay, which you can't imagine how much is appreciated this far into the CCG timeline. An enjoyable solo campaign mode ices it up.

Hand-drawn artwork is gorgeous and thankfully not as extravagant and flowery as its Eastern counterparts. On the other hand, animations and cutscenes could have been far more elaborate.

Anyway, a fresh breeze of air in a foul and barren genre as are CCGs.
