From the creators of Slice it!, Com2us, arrives Three Kingdoms Defense 2, which is the umpteenth defense game in a genre that seems already worn out. Fortunately, TKD2 brings somehow a fresh breeze with several original features without giving up any of the elements that illustrate this kind of games that have reached so much popularity in mobile gaming. Nonetheless, there's one point that must be kept clear: it's an active-defense, so you will have to tap some where on the screen to shoot arrows from your castle and call soldiers to battle: it isn't a place-towers-in-every-corner-of-a-given-path game
The first thing you should be wondering is if the "three kingdoms" in the title means three different campaigns. Well, the answer is no, but there is a wide array of soldiers, generals and skills to acquire and improve. In addition, one original feature is the autobot, which is also upgradeable and shoots a limited amount of arrows in your name.
Graphics are Oriental-like, halfway between ukiyo-e and manga. Sound effects might be considered poor, but music is awesome and gameplay intense. As you get more soldiers and skills, strategy gets an important role, too.
As usual, some special abilities can be purchased through real money and others thanks to in-game money. Game's free with no obtrusive ads (they use to be shown when the landing menu is loaded), so it might not be a bad idea to spend a couple of bucks to boost your prowess (game's a little bit slow anyway) and help the developer. Otherwise, you can get additional coins by downloading other associated games, an increasingly common practice.
