9 Innings: Pro Baseball 2011

This is one of the most complete baseball games on the market as far as players, stadiums and settings are concerned. It includes all 750 baseball players upgraded to the 2011 season, including stats and records. It also includes 100 batters and 52 pitchers, as well as the coach information of every single team in the MLB. There are 3 different game modes: League, Exhibition or Homerun. Obviously, the League mode is the most interesting (you have to complete a season). You have to play against 30 different teams in the MLB and collect more points than the others to win. This is no easy task. In fact, after a few matches we realized that the game actually gets insanely difficult. Sometimes we had the feeling that the CPU had to win either way, especially against the best teams.
You can sign players or lease them. It works both as a baseball game and as a baseball manager. Besides the game, you’ll have to take other factors into account in order to lead your team to victory. If you want to focus on management, you can skip some innings. You can change the lineup, change rotations and players among other options in order to reach the 100 achievements.
The graphics are 2D, SNES-like. They could be improved, but this certainly isn't the most important aspect of the game. It's highly playable thanks to its huge and updated database of players. What's more, you can collect cards and keep then in MyCard Box. Baseball cards come in Normal, Rare, Special, Hero and Platinum grades and you can draw new cards or combine old ones to obtain stronger players. Winning points in any of the 3 modes of play also allows you to level up cards and improve your players’ stats. In the shop you can also buy players, batters and pitchers.
9 innings: Pro Baseball 2011 was developed by com2us, the developer of Slice it!, Sniper vs Sniper and other great Android games.
If you're a Baseball fan then you’ll like this game: the amount of players, batters and pitchers, and the card collection and management features make it a comprehensive baseball game. It's a shame about the 2D graphics and the level of difficulty when you play against the best teams in the MLB.
