"Take your cricket team to World Cup glory."

According to an old SNL joke, there’s a man who has a fever. But in this game, you don’t have a fever for more cowbell, but rather, for more cricket gameplay set in the WorldCup. Available on both iOS and Android devices, you’ll control your favorite national team and compete in one of four game modes: Quick Match, PowerPlay, the popular World Cup, or if you’re with a friend, the local multiplayer Pass-N-Play mode. The game also provides a complete scoreboard analysis, so you can check how your batters and bowlers have done.

Cricket WorldCup Fever provides an in-game tutorial for cricket rookies so you can get up and running. Tap and swipe controls are intuitive. It’s also free to try out with support for older devices.

The game’s 3D graphics look rather ugly, with sluggish animations and unreal looking crowds. It’s also a notorious battery hog. Those hoping for actual player names will have to keep hoping and waiting.
