"First down and ten"

Every year, it becomes clear that mobile gaming is closer to console gaming, and this NFL Pro 2012 is a nice example: it has everything you can expect from a NFL game. Hundreds and hundreds of official player names, a handful of stadiums, the full roster of NFL teams, playbooks and, in short, nearly everything unless cheerleaders and fantasy features.

In addition, you can play with your favorite team and get it updated when the actual team gets a new trade or whatever. Graphics and animations are outstanding, and controls have been smoothly honed to fit mobile gaming needs, though it may be a little hard at the beginning. Anyway, there's a nice tutorial to start with.

Maybe the only flaw we can put the blame on would be that is free. This means that sooner or later you will have to purchase improvements to keep your team running at its maximum potential. Indeed, the option to unlock everything at the very beginning seems to be wiser than collect micro-purchases here and there.

Therefore, a five out of five for the nearly unarguably the best football game so far for Android. A season of fun for NFL fans and football newbies alike.
