    Striker Soccer's review

    A soccer game.

    • Kids mode
    • Needs all promised features urgently.

"o jogo mais bonito do mondo"

Kick Off's casts a long shadow and an influence that can be traced forward to nearly every modern soccer game.

Striker Soccer is no exception. Top-down view, fast-paced action and delicate ball control are the main features of this sensible yet extremely addictive soccer game. While it's true that it may not compete against last generation soccer games, Striker Soccer has that particular aftertaste so sweet-and-sour to old school gamers.

Before proceeding further, we would like to inform that this game is still incomplete. You can only play friendly matches against an easy, not-so-easy or hard AI or create your own competition. In fact, the best way to play is to create a 20 teams league. No multiplayer, no World Cup, no whatsoever.

Gameplay is nothing short of excellent. Tricky, yes, but excellent indeed. Any move you can imagine can be executed sort of too acrobatic ones that won't be able to shine with all its splendour in those 8bit graphics. You can cross the ball, score with a header, set out an offside strategy and so on. If you're more into arranging little things, you can change the strips.

A tweak remarkable on its own is the 'kids mode'. It's the same game with even more oversimplified controls.

There isn't much more to add about this Striker Soccer. Ads are on the time left and can be quite annoying.

Striker Soccer will be a great soccer game...when it's finished.
