After a heavy 18 Mb download, the first thing that catches your eye when you launch Baseball Superstars II are the breath taking anime graphics and a shrill little music. Then, you'll be overwhelmed by a ton of options, modes and settings. There's a "how to play" option somewhere, but it's all about theory.
In short, you can play as a batter or pitcher throughout an entire season, earn money and experience to improve your skills and become, literally, a beast on the pitch. We can say in advance that Baseball Superstars II may be the best baseball game we've found, but it's so hard to master that non-pro players may be deterred and will choose other simpler games. Even the simpler actions as a soft bunt can become insanely difficult. Everything's trickier than you can expect. This game is a perfect time-waster, but it isn't a casual game. It requires hours of practice and, by the way, a last generation device to enjoy all the achievements, upgrades, modes and challenges.
We may say that Gamevil has burnt its own bridges releasing this game. It's too complex and too well done at the same time, maybe more suitable for a console than for a mobile gaming. Anyway, a great game, regardless of if you like baseball or not.
