Piano For You is virtual piano for Android
Full version of Piano For You includes all available high quality instruments and option to export/share/set as ringtone recordings.
Piano For You is a full keyboard piano with 88 keys, including key labels and sustain pedal. It supports multitouch (Android 2.0 or later) and lets you perform some interesting features.
First, it allows you to record your takes. What's more, there's an option for two stacked rows. You can select the "area" you want to play and zoom in it. Scroll it by pulling down device's top edge or using trackball.
It's a good looking piano with the needed features. The sound could be improved though, as well as the latency, that makes it a bit laggy.
Piano For You has been developed by Pavel Alexeev, an individual developer who's doing a great job specially with this app, taking in account that he doesn't have the resources of a developing company.
We have to say that, from our point of view, the sound could be improved. However this isn't a Steinway & Sons and it doesn't aim to be. This is just a tool to entertain you or to "save your ass" just in case that inspiration comes when you are on your way. If you like playing piano or what to learn, this is truly recommendable.
Includes all available high quality instruments (Piano, Rhodes, Accordion and Church Pipe Organ) and option to export/share/set as ringtone recordings.
- Good sounding (sampled instruments)
- Good looking
- Option for two stacked rows
- Low latency (compared to the rest piano apps)
- Custom instruments (record your own sample using microphone or open existent file)
- 128 MIDI instruments (really!)
- MIDI over WiFi
- Full piano keyboard (88 keys)
- Nice key labels
- Fast loading (less than 0.3 second)
- Multitouch support
- Sustain pedal
- No ads!
Piano For You is suitable for professional musicians as well as for learning piano. Many vocalists use it to track pitch. Composers use Piano For You to record their musical ideas on the go. You should try it too :)
Latency is a real pain on Android devices, but I've done all I can.
- Meet the new icon!
- Don't show annoying help messages about menu & lock buttons.
- Fix .wav export with 48000Hz samples.
- Fix a bug when sustain pedal to overlaps side menu button.
- Other bug fixes and improvements.
I can't test my app on every Android device, so please, email me if something doesn't work as expected!
One of the First of apps that Goes [Onto] my Android System (New), has yet to Lose Today the Name, "the Very Last One i [Played (For You)]"
I made the mistake of putting the sustain pedal on the bottom left of the screen and was therefore unable to access the menu at all - because the pedal was in the way! So I could not change any settings after that because I could not open the menu. Quite annoying...
A lovely app very happy with it
After years of listening to all genres of music, and a decade of not enjoying playing the violin as a kid, I am now learning piano. This application is perfect for "working out" some of the musical things in my head that occur to me when I am not home with a keyboard. They adaptable nature of different key sizes, as well as linked versus unlinked keyboard segments is a useful idea.
Straight forward app. Easy to understand.
We have a winner.
