We have heard of ringtones, but videotones? Yes, SportOn developers have made this reality: a ringtone with a embedded sport-related HQ video that will be displayed when incoming calls or alerts.
If you like sports and personalizing your Android device, you've got the right place. SportOn has a huge database (over 6K videos) of sport-related videos that can be set as videotones. Videos from NHL©, Red Bull Media House, BWF, NL... as well as the clips of the best athletes from Motocross, Surfing, Skateboarding Skiing, Snowboarding, etc. Short clips, optimized to be displayed while ringing an alert or receiving a call. It's worth visiting its website to see such amount of HQ videotones.
The main catch is that, although the app is free, videotones are all paid (except one promo video for testing). Videos are affordable though. The app is set in a simple, minimalist layout from where you can see new videos uploaded to SportOn database, Top10, search for a videos and access to your videos (from Menu button). Any video can be downloaded to your device or set as standard videotone, personal videotone (by contact), SMS video alert, MMS video alert and alarm videotone.
