For some newer devices, NEXUS especially, the files save and work but in order for them to be seen you have to save the files you want, turn off your phone and turn your phone back on. This forces your cache to update and adds the new files.!!!

tap the button to hear the sound
then push the same button and hold till menu pops up
then select which type of sound you want to save it as

--to set the sound--
use files the app
go to media folder
click the audio folder
then click the corresponding folder to which type you want
