Internal Broadcasts MonitorThis Open Source app will ensure, that your screen is save when in pocket or in bag.
Screen won't eat your battery if you press power button accidentally while your phone is in your pocket or bag.
It measures proximity value and turns off the screen when there is something close to the proximity sensor (in the front of the screen).
If screen is covered and power button is pressed, the screen will flash short and it will turn off screen - saves your battery.
To test if it works you need to lock your phone, cover the Proximity sensor (top corner usually) and then try to turn on the screen again. It should turn off soon and vibrate (so you know it works).
This app REQUIRES your ADMIN rights on the phone to lock the screen. It's the way Android architecture is created. And it's good, because you always know when this app is enabled to lock the screen and when it's not.
NOTE, that you need to remove this app from admins before you can uninstall it. Please go here to do so: Settings->Security->Device administrators

Very usefull app! Works fine on my G Note 2. You should work more on interface and auto-start after reboot as well it would be real nice feature. Sekmes. :)

As of 7/26/12, this beta version doesn't work for me. Probably explains why the In Pocket feature was removed with our Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. Don't know how to leave this feedback without a rating. Although the beta version doesn't work for me, it mi

Just needs more options like auto start service on phone restart. Guys, you have to learn to read intructions before saying "its a crap, cannot uninstall". It uninstalls with no problems.
