Hey, do you know what kills your battery the fastest? Display light. The best way to extend your battery is reducing brightness. Some apps, including the built-in Android brightness controller can do it for you. The problem? They adjust brightness for the whole system, not for specific apps. And we all know that some apps require higher screen brightness than others (for example, news readers).
Screen Controls allows you to adjust the screen brightness for all your apps, one by one. Thus, you can set a low brightness level for, let's say, Youtube and a higher brightness level for Flipboard or the browser. In fact, screen brightness isn't the only parameter you can set at your whim. You can also set custom screen timeout for each app or choose use the system default. "System default" can also be set from Screen Controls settings, as well as choose start all that preferences on boot up.
The app is neat and really easy to use. And, above all, adds a functionality that by now, the stock Android OS is missing. Recommended.
