Sonakshi Sinha (born 2 June 1987) is an Indian Bollywood actress. She marked her debut in the Hindi film industry with 2010 film Dabangg opposite Salman Khan, which went onto becoming the highest grossing Bollywood film of the year. Sinha next appeared in Rowdy Rathore (2012) alongside Akshay Kumar. The film was well received by top critics and currently holds the title of the highest grossing bollywood film of 2012. Sinha will be starring in the upcoming films; Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg 2 and Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera
She is the daughter of an actor and a politician Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha . She has two brothers, Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha. Luv is also an aspiring actor. She studied Fashion Designing at the Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University (SNDT) in Mumbai.
