A simple yet comprehensive guide for Barcelona with geo-referenced videoguides
NOTE: This is the complete version of iBarcelona Smartour (English version) totally free for iPhone.
iBarcelona Smartour is a city guide for Barcelona that includes 20 spots of touristic and cultural interest among other tidily presented resources such as restaurants, shopping places, cafés & terraces, night clubs, hotels, museums, information about public transports, events agenda and discounts and promotions for spectacles and venues. It also includes city maps and specific maps for each spot (online and offline), and allows you to rate places and share your favourites via Facebook, Twitter or email
Till here nothing new under the sun of touristic apps, but what shines here is the unique videoguides for each one of the spots. This way you'll have a personal guide that will tell you all about the secrets and history of the spot in question i just a few minutes. They are geo-referenced via GPS so that they will open whenever you are on location. Augmented Reality is increasingly becoming an must-have in these type of apps and it is no surprise finding it in here.
Plus there is an option called "Route" that will lead you to your selected place, detailing the time and distance that will take you from you real time location. We certainly can say the app makes the most of your GPS tool although at the same time this will drain your battery life. We recommend it nonetheless.
SMARTOUR® will allow you to explore unique places and discover unforgettable stories at your desired pace as well as to get the best direction to take as you follow the route along the most relevant points of interest. You will also be able to enjoy a welcome video to a tourist destination, find the most important information of its different areas, as well as its gastronomic, cultural, commercial and leisure offers and much more.
Within our suggested tour along the city of Barcelona you will discover 20 points of tourist and cultural interest plus 1 video welcoming you to the city. You will enjoy several of its most outstanding districts as follows:
