AZZL is a fabulously unique, animated logic puzzle like you’ve never seen before. This bold and brilliant game from the makers of Rebus offers over 100 weird and wonderful moving puzzles to solve.
Tap, move, swipe, and rotate the moving pieces to reveal a quirky cartoon that you can replay again and again. This brilliant game gets more devilishly difficult as you progress, and the graphics and zany sound effects only add to AZZL’s charm. If you’re a fan of puzzle games, you’ll love this original offering.
AZZL’s biggest appeal is the visuals, which are totally dynamic and infinitely interesting to look at. You can’t help but be charmed by the weird and wonderfully characters as you start to reveal them, and the ability to play back the animation once you’ve solved each puzzle is a great touch that kids will love. It would be great if those videos were shareable – kids would have great fun.
The gameplay is genuinely challenging, and the puzzles do increase in difficulty as you progress. The game controls are very responsive and intuitive: simply tap, move, swipe, and rotate the pieces to fit them together. This make the puzzle suitable for kids and adults alike.
We played all the levels in the first world and were gagging to carry on with more. Knowing that there are over 100 puzzles to complete gives a sense of value for money, and makes you want to keep playing and playing.
AZZL is indeed quite intuitive to play, and when you pause the game, there is an animated tutorial available. It would be great if these were available from the main menu too, along with a small written summary for those who aren’t kinesthetic learners.
It would be great to see the addition of rewards and achievements, which could be combined with more varied game modes, like time challenges. We'd also like it if you were able to compete with other opponents, and to collect points and rewards as you progress.
