Google Android Event Scheduled For July 24th: Android 4.3 And Next-Gen Nexus 7 Could Be On The Way
Only a week in advance, Google has sent out invitations for its next Android & Chrome event which will be running next Wednesday July 24th in San Francisco. The sudden event, finally called "Breakfast with Sundar Pichai" has been, in fact, a long-awaited date since the most anticipated consumer-oriented products of this year weren't finally unveiled at Google I/O. Thus, it seems reasonable to believe that the presentation of Android 4.3 may be on the agenda of this special summer event, after months of rumors and leaks.
Likewise, some Nexus-related announcements are expected too. Precisely a few hours ago, the guys at Androidcentral posted and exclusive first look of a next-gen Nexus 7 model, sporting 7-inch LCD display, front (1.2 Mpx) and rear (5Mpx) cameras, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset and something between 2GB (most likely) and 4GB (really?) RAM. Rumors say that it would run Android 4.3 natively which would make sense if Google unveils both the new Android OS version and the next-gent Nexus 7 in the "Breakfast with Sundar Pichai" event.
The Nexus 7 seems the most foreseeable device of the Nexus family in the upcoming event, not the only one though. Actually, the Nexus 5 smartphone is also on the queue as well as the revamped Nexus Q that will reportedly become a comprehensive set-top-box to smartify our TVs. There's a week of rumors and leaks ahead of us. Place your bets.
