Kindle Fire HDX, With Mojito

Kindle Fire HDX, With Mojito

A few years ago, Amazon left behind its main focus and decided to go into a different path as well: the company developed their own hardware, Android Tablets, and today they announced the launch of the new Kindle Fire HDX and an enhanced version of the Kindle Fire HD.

Both 7 and 8.9 versions of the Kindle Fire HDX come with a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, possibly the most powerful in the market and one that has become really popular among manufacturers.

The devices are also equipped with 2GB of RAM and an internal memory to choose between 16, 32, 64GB or LTE. The screen resolution has also been enhanced: the 8.9 device with 2560 x 1600 px and 339PPI and the 7 with 1920 x 1200 px and 323PPI.

In addition, there’s an 8MP camera and the weight has been reduced by 34%. Regarding the OS, the new Kindle HDX are equipped with a new Android OS called Fire OS 3.0 Mojito and the prices will be 229$ and 379$ respectively.

Right now, the tablet is only available in the US but other countries can expect to have it released soon enough. Get ready for the best excuse you were looking for to change your ‘old’ tablet.
