Talk to your doctor. During my first pregnancy I had nausea. She told me to eat potato chips, pretzels, or French fries to help. I was over 360 lbs starting out by the tom I had my miscarriage a few months later, I'd lost 30 lbs. And a total of 110 lbs to date. I'm on my second pregnancy now and guess what....still eating chips. The babies didn't/don't like sugar so I only drink water and black coffee( Dr. Approved) when I need energy. No cookies or cakes but I'm in love with red hots candies. These apps come from some person sitting in a room preying on a beginner mom's want to be the best out there. Enjoy your pregnancy, there's no way to stick to a strict diet when those cravings hit. Just talk it over with your OB if you're really concerned. They do nutritional counseling at my Dr's office during your first appt.
